Weak forcing aloft atop an elevated mixed layer over the eastern English Channel / SE England / East Anglia could aid development of a few elevated showers, above areas of low cloud and fog. Therefore a small lightning risk exists, but in reality the vast majority of places will remain void of lightning activity.

Elsewhere, diurnal heating across Ireland may result in a few scattered slow-moving showers - however, as was the case on Tuesday, one or more warm noses in forecast profiles suggests convection may struggle to gain significant depth and therefore the lightning risk is considered rather low. Nonetheless, the odd funnel cloud may be possible.
